County Assessor Duties
Visual Inspection of properties per OTC four-year schedule
Appraises and assesses the real and personal property for ad valorem taxation
Computers the ad valorem taxes due on all taxable property according to fair cash value
Delivers the tax roll to the County Treasurer for collection
Maintains current ownership of all real property in the county
Maintains a parcel mapping system of all property in the county
Assist with applications for property exemptions, including homestead exemptions, veterans' exemptions and double exemptions
Maintains property characteristics of all property including building square feet, land size, sales data and market value
Undergoes compliance check by the Oklahoma Tax Commission
Assist with application for agriculture exemption
